Browsing through and commenting on this year's Viennale program together so that, for once this year, you will have your complete ticket wish list ready for the start of sales on Saturday.

Tickets for the Viennale go on sale on Saturday, October 11th. Good if you already have your program together by then.

The Viennale program goes online on Tue, Oct 7.

Somehow it never worked for me recently, to browse through everything beforehand.

I usually forget and then I know: Ah, it starts at ten o'clock and then at nine o'clock I start frantically leafing through the catalog and roughly thinking about what's going on where and when.

Many years ago, there were a few times when we had a preliminary meeting at werkzeugH, where we discussed the current catalog together on stage with a few people who were regular Viennale visitors.

Including watching trailers and discussing film theory.

Since we did this with the microphone on stage, the other guests were always insanely disturbed after a while because they didn't want to know which Finnish director had shot a documentary in Kazakhstan whose new film would be worth seeing again.

This year, however, I would like to revive the Viennale program Basteling with the new headphone format.

So: pack your headphones and come by on Wednesday, discuss the program together discuss the program, maybe get together for "20er Blöcke"
